In fact, the legendary South Tyrolean freedom fighter Andreas Hofer was among those who stayed at our hotel back in the day! Hotel Gasteigerhof has been managed by the Vorhauser family since 1974.
Back then tourism was a concept unbeknown to many. The Racines ski
resort was barely developed, and Gardena was far from being the
world-renowned World Cup ski racing track it is today – however, there
were already races taking place at Monte Cavallo!
The area comprising Casateia, Vipiteno, Racines and Ridanna developed in a gradual, natural and healthy way, which guarantees that still today you will be able to find lovely spots of untouched, pristine nature, combined with excellent service facilities and unlimited leisure fun.
