We gladly reserve a table for you in our winter garden or in our cosy traditional parlour.
We also offer "show cooking" events or cooking lessons with our kitchen staff, where you will get to know many of our culinary secrets (minimum 6 participants)!
(cheesecake - Topfen (quark) is a fresh, creamy cheese with a distinct flavour. It is very popular for both savoury and sweet meals in Austria.)
Mix 7 whole eggs with 250 g sugar and some vanilla sugar until the mass is foamy.
Mix ½ l liquid cream and 2 ½ table spoons corn starch.
Add cream and corn starch to 1250 g quark.
Wrap egg & sugar mass around the quark and bake in a pre-heated oven (1 ½ hours at 150°C).
Please note: The quark mass will increase to twice its volume while in the oven, and go back to its normal size afterwards. Therefore it is important to use baking paper to form a wall around the mass which should be twice as high as the edge of the cake tin.
for 5 persons:
Bring cream, milk, vanilla sugar, sugar, lemon peel and salt to a simmer.
Add soft gelatine leaves, let it cool down and then add whipped cream.
Keep cool for approx. 2 hours before serving.
