At activity hotel Gasteigerhof you will find loads of wonderful ski pistes with guaranteed snow in the Racines ski resort. Hotel Gasteigerhof warmly welcomes families and children as well as individual travellers, offering a variety of possible winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding , cross-country skiing, curling, snow shoe hiking in the stunning scenery and many others!

The Racines/Giovo ski resort boasts a total 25 km of excellently groomed pistes, while the Monte Cavallo and Ladurnes descents are renowned for their great snow conditions, sun and entertainment offers. Equipment can be hired without hassle at the local ski rental shop . Also enjoy night tobogganing under the full moon or on floodlit prepared tracks.

Racines cross-country paradise

Have you already discovered the unique appeal of cross-country skiing? The Ridanna valley is a true cross-country and biathlon paradise, with superbly prepared slopes and excellent snow conditions – it even hosts a variety of international competitions. This dream of cross-country aficionados offers 40 km of pistes just next door to Hotel Gasteigerhof.

Casateia-Stanga-Mareta cross-country track: 20 km

This slope is accessible right next to Hotel Gasteigerhof. A 17 km loop trail leads past a diverse landscape into sunny Casateia (980 m), Stanga (1,020 m) and Mareta (1,070 m). The itinerary can be adjusted to cover from 2 to 17 km on classical style slopes, with several rustic restaurants along the way if you fancy a break.

Racines valley cross-country track: 10 km

Loop trail of varying difficulty, offering perfect snow conditions in a beautiful area. Classical style slope of easy to medium difficulty, offering restaurants along the way.

Ridanna cross-country track: 25 km

25 km loop trail which offers guaranteed snow, located in the higher, sunny part of the Ridanna valley. This track offers one rather demanding variant. Track length can be adjusted to lengths of 3 to 25 km, and difficulties from very easy to hard. Here you will find two classical style and one freestyle tracks. Please consult reception for further advice.

Other sports

Apart from the classic Alpine and cross-country skiing, the area around the hotel offers possibilities for various other activities such as snow shoe hiking, ski tours, ice climbing, ice skating or curling for all skill levels. For non-skiers, all tours can also be done in snow shoes. Another popular attraction are tandem flights accompanied by qualified, professional paragliding guides.
